Humanity faces the greatest opportunity in history with the revolution towards a green economy. But entire industries are stuck making mission-critical decisions. One roadblock is stopping them all. Everyone is completely lost in trying to measure environmental dimensions and understand how it interacts with financials and the stability of the entire business. In short, having structured environmental data is mission-critical, but creating it is an absolute mess. It's painful, too slow, and loses over 90% of time and money, with indirect costs of hundreds of thousands of dollars and millions of tons of CO2, waste, and water loss.

So we need to build a scalable infrastructure to collect and structure environmental data in a highly efficient and traceable way, and model the causal effects on the existing financial system.

We are building the sustainable equivalent of what Excel, Spreadsheets and Datev are to financial strategy and accounting. We build the world's environmental data infrastructure that's transparent, fun and replaces the painful manual work of questionnaires. Our environmental data toolbox is as simple as playing LEGO and as intuitive as filling a MIRO board with reusable data blocks, making it highly scalable and reducing the time and cost required to create holistic and traceable environmental inventories by over 90%.

Step 2 is that we connect environmental indicators with financial KPI's and target dimensions/limits to help stakeholders with the crucial bottleneck of having a reliable basis (that can grasp the complexity and decompose in a simple way) to be able to make good and crucial decisions under increasing environmental constraints.

We are Circonomit, a team of 5 highly motivated people with different backgrounds. Together, we have set ourselves the goal of providing companies with a software solution to help them collect and structure their environmental data and, in the next step, link this data to financial indicators. In this way, we are building the missing but incredibly important bridge between finance and sustainability to make the interdependencies visible and calculable.

Dana founded Circonomit in July 2022 and is a mechanical engineer with a background in environmental impact assessment from research at RWTH Aachen. She has developed own data models and has experience with industrial manufacturing companies on this topic.

Erik is a computer scientist with a major in mathematics and has been building his own software products for almost a decade. Prior to joining Circonomit as Co-Founder and CTO, he built a SaaS solution from scratch and worked as a product owner in a software scale-up.

Jonas holds a degree in political science. He transforms political events with their dynamics and regulations into customer-centric solutions. He is responsible for non-technical product development, such as user experience and interaction, and brings our data library to life.
